can anyone tell me if the attached unit is worth buying the guy is asking $400 for it, it is in perfect working condition

    I'm familar with the proton 1150, which was noted for it's dynamic headroom,,in their day they were touted a giant killers,,IMO,see if you can demo it in your system,if you like it 400.00 seems fair +/-. Good luck :)

    What era is this from? The only Proton's I'm familiar with are the black models nipping at the heels of 80's NAD's and Adcom's.
