I know there are a lot of fans around here for the Amazings.

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/ele/318591836.html

No affiliation. I don't keep track of the pricing on these, but it looks like a good deal to me.

EDIT: I noticed that this guy has been trying to sell these for a month or more. Price has come down slightly, but they must be in pretty bad shape if nobody has taken them yet.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I am calling dibs on these, I am waiting for him to tell me how to pay his ****....I plan on a complete rewire/rework of these before they see any power anyways.....I have talked to him twice so far and he said that all of the drivers were good, the grill cloth was kinda iffy, and one ribbon needed a magnet re-bonded, it worked but it was separating a little.....I am willing to take the risk, and George Will be inspecting them before they leave...I am so damn happy right now....

The Silver’s are great speakers. I had a pair in Oak before going to electrostats.

Do you know if the speakers are bi-wirable or just have two binding posts per speaker? If you get them, let me know and I will locate and copy the wiring diagrams I have and send them to you.

The wiring for the non-biwirable Silvers is different than the bi-wirable ones. The woofers on the non-biwirable Silvers are intentionally wired out of phase from the crossover (Black to positive, Red to negative) at the first woofer. The color code should be normal (Red to positive, Black to negative) from the first woofer to the remaining two. The ribbon grounds at the Positive terminal on the lower woofer (which is actually Negative due to the reversed phase from the crossover). They used really small gauge wire to jumper the woofers. I had fully rewired mine using larger gauge wire.

Some folks have reported finding the two lower woofers out of phase from the upper one. The reason being the lower two woofers are orientated 180 degrees opposite from the top one (the terminals are pointing up instead of down) and they failed to observe polarity and cross the wiring to the second woofer.
