Amp question

Does anyone know of or have any experience with SPL amps? I just took my car to a shop to have a system installed and those are the amps they quoted.
I'm more into home audio than I am car audio but I figured a little upgrade over the stock stereo would be nice.
Thanks

I have a friend using one to power to kicker L7 15s. It died on him.

I wish I had done more research on it before putting a down payment on it. I figured anything had to be better than the stock system and I'm not looking for much more than that since I don't spend a lot of time in the car. I'll see if I can get it switched.
Thanks again! -
Dont sweat it dude.
If youre just wanting some tunes to listen to while you drive to work and back AND youre buying them thru an authorized dealer that can help you out if they crap out, youll be fine.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

After they gave me the quote, they scheduled the installation for next week. Their receipt claims special order items could not be refunded but I explained to them I didn't want the SPL amps. They are going to put 2 kicker amps in instead. Not sure if they are any better but at least I've heard of them.
Below is the list of stuff... I asked for Polks but they are not a dealer and again, I might spend up to 6 hours in the car per week while at work and then it gets left at the airport over the weekend so I just needed something with better sound than stock.
Sony CDX-GT710 - Receiver
Front Components - 6 1/2 -Kicker 05KS62
Back - 6 1/2 Kicker 07DS600 2 way
Sub - Kicker 10'' Comp VR 07CVR102
Sub Amp - 150 x1 Kicker ZX300.1
Speaker Amp - 60 x 4 Kicker ZX350.4
I hope to get a new truck by the end of the year. At that time, I will get serious about getting a system recommended by fellow Polkies!
Thanks again for your comments. -

Great choice on the Kicker amps. I used many Kicker amps over the years, and would not have any issues running them again.Alpine: CDA-7949
