I am finally getting my NHT SubTwo next week (Carver designed 500 Watts RMS into 2 10" drivers).
Just wondering if there are any NHT owners on this forum. Looking for opinions and comparisons to other subs.
I think I will just go with this single sub since I am moving to a condo next month , and will sell my JBL PB12.

The SubTwo is a 500W Sunfire amp powered dual 10" (the 10" drivers are the same as those in the NHT 2.9 and the VT-3) acoustic suspension model with an outboard control unit. It uses a DIN cable to connect the control unit to the subwoofer. The DIN connectors are fairly fragile. That is the subs only real weakness.
IMO, this model sounds significantly better than just about any bass reflex subwoofer you can buy today. While it might not have the below 20 Hz extension of, say some of the bigger SVS units, the control unit is super flexible and will allow you to really dial your system in to have the best of both worlds at the same time, flat frequency response when listening to 2 channel music, yet while still having adjustable "boom" when listening to movies at the flick of a switch on the remote. There are separate controls for the LFE and L/R inputs to achieve this. In many ways, it is similar to the subs on a Polk SRT system in that regard
This sub will be fine in a 3,500 cu ft room. It is sort of comparable to the current NHT U1 system. -
Any personal experiences? I'll finally get a chance (hopefully) to try this sub out this weekend! yay!Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies
