Need 1C Drivers

I need a total of eight mid drivers for some 1C's I bought.

I cant remember right now which is which, but I need both the regular and dimensional driver.

If memory serves me:

4--MW6510

and

4--MW6511

I will buy the drivers and then need them shipped to F1nut.

Any help will be appreciated.

The model numbers are correct Ted. If all else fails I think one of those models is still avail new from Polk. Obviously it's going to be more $$$ than going used. Hopefully someone or a few can take care of you.

    What happened?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I don't know for sure George. I guess they might be different. The Polkie in me just keeps whispering in my ear they are mine now and my responsibility to get them back up to snuff and pass them on.

The other option would be to just sell the tweets and the crossovers, giving the cabinets a proper funeral at the fest.

I hate to see things just go to waste so my first choice is to repair them.

They are the same as the ones in the pictures. You can just make out the hole in one of the mids. All the other punctures/rips are too small to see from the distance that the photos were taken.

Just part them out and burn them, its a waste of money and a poor investment.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'll update this as Tedwick is probably lost somewhere in Texas right about now. A very generous offer has been made by a fellow Polkie to supply four 6510's and two 6511's. Thank you!!!

If anyone else can part with one or two 6511's, these 1C's will live again.

Okay but do you have any ideas on how to plug up the big holes in the speaker cabinets?

Do they need to be raised off the floor to get the soundstage to a more realistic height?

waaaaaa, you guys are too much. Made it back from Tejas and a visit with Tour, but that is another story. Well, as Jesee said, a very generous gift (karma) has been bestowed, these things tend to even out.

There will be no burning, at least of this pair. I will be upgrading the tweets, they will sing again.

    Still looking for two 6511's.

    Michael,

Thank you for your very generous offer, but the 6509 and 6511 are not close enough to interchange.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Well, I figured this but just to make sure I called CS, the 6511 really does not match up to any of the other mid drivers.

But a big Thank You to everyone who has offered up various drivers.

I am watching the bay to see if something pops there.

Man, this sounds like the problem I had with my Monitor 10B's where instead of having (2) MW6503's per cabinet, is was a mismatch of MW6502's and something else. Thankfully, all the drivers in my 1C's are correct but it may be the crossover that's something of an "in-betweener".

Good luck on the search for the last 2 drivers and I wish I could help! I know I love the way mine sound....
