Ebay has had and still does some nice multi-channel amps. Last night a Carver went off without a bid (opening bid was $500). Is there support for the older Carver products? Thanks.

There are two places that do it....One of them being :
    http://www.carveraudio.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27

His name is Rolland....He is expensive, and personally I can't vouch for him...I guess he does good work though...

The second one is Classic Carver Audio Repair, it is made up of Rita and Mylinda, of Carver service fame when it was still being done at Sunfire....I CAN vouch for them, they did a great job on my M400t and C-1...They are also MUCH less expensive....The phone number for them is: 360-668-7798.

Dependant on what you are looking to repair, she may refer you over to Rolland.....She said she really never messed with a C-19, so Rolland would be able to completely refurb it though....I think she will take on all of the amps, MINUS LIGHTSTAR, because there are no parts available for them anymore evidentially......Good luck man.

If you are talking about that A-753x, that is WAY overpriced for a broke dick amp......

I know the m4.0t, TFM42&45 amps (same amp on the inside) are fetching big money compared to what I paid for mine like 3 years ago. I paid about 350, and some are asking well over 500 and sometimes over 600.

I always wanted another one so I can run 2 of them mono at 1000 watts a channel into my Carver Platinums, but I will patiently wait for the prices to come back to earth before I do.

What makes you think I am not old, or a hobo? Or both? So, I've also seen B&K, Rotel, Adcom, Sherwood and Parasound....in my budget....something there for a young, ambitious non-hobo? and Anthem (not heard of them)

Nothing like riding the rails, eating beans and listening to Jimmy Crack Corn on your rig.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

well, hell...I just walked over to my Rotel dealer and had the young salesman carry back an amp to my car (old men should not carry such heavy objects). Decent price, and it's new....

Did he carry the Rotel out on a stick slung over his shoulders wearing overalls?
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Shut up sonny, or I'll hit you with my cane!

Carver gear is valued by many, and is currently gaining value more and more as we speak. I disagree with your statement, honestly. If one knows what they are doing in creating synergy with their rig, then Carver is amazing. [I'm talking about Carver amps] Carver speak's speak for themselves, not all, but you know the ones I'm talkin' about.

I don't know what you run in your rig dorokusai, but all rigs and brands do different things sonically. It just comes down to different sound, or reproduction of sound. Different strokes for different folks. It does come down to price or budget and for those that don't have 18,000.00 to spend on an amp, Carver fits right in with the sonic characteristics that one would want to achieve for pennies on the dollar compared to the rediculously priced gear available on the market.

Yes, I am a Carver fan so I may have a biased opinion as far as you are concerned, but I am a fan for a reason and I am not alone.

    Treitz3,

Mark is a great guy, in fact, he is having my love child later this year. He just can't hear is all. :D

Mark is well versed in all things audio as well as Carver gear....I respect his opinon, just don't always agree with it.

He's just being controversial cuz that's just how he rolls.
