CD changer issues

I am happy to say that I have a new 2 channel system running with CRS+, Caver int. amp and a Carver Cd changer. Someone on here mentioned to me that Carver players were not rated that high (purchase had been made). I actually really like the sound and the system sounds great, but the CD changer has one issue: when you press play, it makes the right sound like a cd is loading, then the lights for the tracks go on, and then....wait.....wait....maybe 20-30 seconds, maybe more, and then it starts playing. A couple times it hasn't started within the length of my patience. Would this be mechanical or a microprocessor? I only paid a hundred bucks, but it would be nice if it could be fixed. Thanks.....do you know how much you guys have inspired me to spend since I came back to the forum!!
