What's up with the Musical Fidelity a1008?

So in last month's Stereophile, the Upscale Audio ad shows a Musical Fidelity A1008. Looks like an upgraded A5 integrated... adds some digital inputs, plus breaks out the power supply like on the KW500.

I go to the MF website: Nothing.

I go to Upscale's website: Nothing.


Anybody know anything?

Edit: I google... just some stuff in german.

    I called Upscale Audio last week about their ad. I learned only a bit more: the Musical Fidelity A1008 will ship in mid-May and the MSRP is $5,000 US. It has both analog and digital inputs, uses 6922 tubes in the preamp, and has a built-in DAC. If you've been to the Musical Fidelity site, you've seen their notice of a big announcement on June 1, which I guess must be for the new A10xx product line.

    Yeah, doesn't play nice w/ firefox and piss poor design, too. At least they've finally got the A1008 up.
