Svs Mts-01
Does anyone have info on this speaker? I'm was looking at getting a pair of the polk RTi8's, but discovered SVS is creating a mid-tower and would like some comparison info on it before I purchase the RTi8's. If the MTS-01 speaker design and SQ is anything like my 20-39pc+, I would love to get my hands on a pair.

Last time I checked there was no info available on it yet.
I've heard their entry level bookshelve system and it was very nice. -
It's going to be fall at the earliest for the MTS line. I think it will be aimed at the Ascend 340se, a very balanced and accurate and much loved speaker. However, I've heard it a couple of times and just can't get excited about them (Ascends), too neutral for my taste. Of the 2, the 340se's and the RTi8s, I preferred the 8s even with the slightly harsh tweeter.

I've contacted SVS for more info. Here is what Ed Mullen has to say:
"The MTS-01 will have a similar lay-out to the RTi8 a single soft dome tweeter and dual 7 mid-bass drivers. Our speaker and crossover components will be much higher grade than those used in the RTi8; in fact were paying more for the tweeter than it costs most companies to build their entire speaker.
Timbre matching wont be a problem with the silk dome use in the Polk line. But I would recommend getting the entire front stage for seamless panning and timbre matching; the
Polk center wont be a perfect match of course. The surrounds are less critical for timbre matching and youll be fine retaining the Polks there."
