CD/SACD player upgrade help please

At present I have a Denon 2910 which I have really enjoyed. I would like to move this to our bedroom to compliment a Jolida tube amp and a pair of Onix ref 1 monitors.

The replacement will be used in my main system which consists of an Onix SP3 tube amp and a pair of Strata Minis.

I don't have an exact budget established but I would like to stay under a grand. Obviously, this CD player will be an upgrade from the already very nice 2910, but what I don't know is how far I have to go before I'll discern an improvement from an already nice CD player to a noticeably better one.

SACD playback is an absolute requirement in this new player. It doesn't have to be multichannel SACD, but at least 2 channel.

Your guidance and responses appreciated in advance. Thanks.

    Cambridge Azur 640v2
    Rotel 1072

Some of the better "budget" players out there.

    or

Get a nice dac and an Oppo ($150) for the transport. Oppo just reviewed in Stereophile and is killer as a transport.

Do CA and Rotel have SACD? I didn't think either of them do.

I ended up getting a Sony SCD ES player and then a Theta DAC to help on the CD playback. So, hoping to get good redbook and SACD playback and only cost me about half your budget so you can do more with the more money (maybe another Denon universal and DAC or get a Sony SCD ES model and have it modded for a few hundo).

I didn't find many esoteric players out there (Jolida, AH, Bada) that offered an affordable SACD model, but maybe there are some out there. Musical Hall Maverick does, I think.

Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850

Good catch Andy, I missed the SACD requirement. I think the Oppo has it.

Another option is to get a Dac for use with the 2910, and get a simple CD player for the bedroom. That way you have the SACD (2910) and better redbook (dac).

I use the Bel Canto Dac1.1 with a Denon 2900 as transport. I do not own any SACD's, but this combo let s me have the flexability and performance if I decide to go that route.
