Well, just got power back 1-hr ago.
I left you guys Sunday night to go outside and investigate what sounded like another tree going down and within minutes, that was all she wrote. What a mess around here. A wet, heavy snow fall and high winds made quite a combination. They just finished putting up a new pole about 500 ft from my house that had snapped in half bringing wires down and across the road. The entire surrounding area had plenty of sections of destroyed power transmission lines.
It feels good to put the candles away. Once the fridge gets back up to temp (or is that down?) I'll pull the food out of the snowbank and restock it. Lots to do now to play catchup.

Welcome back, Bob. Good idea to store the food outside.Political Correctness'.........defined

Turned out to be a rather large branch off one of those big trees in my side yard coming down with a ton of snow on it, just missing the side of the house where the main 2 channel rig and computer is.

Yeah, if that came down on that room, that woulda sucked!
I've been lucky. I'm on a second floor apartment and on high ground anyway so unless the roof leaks, I don't really have water problems. Although the stream behind my place flooded it's banks pretty high and took out a few trees, one of which ripped my power line for my building down.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
