vinyl laminate

Any secrets to applying vinyl laminate (such as that available from parts express)? I have two RT16 bases with the old laminate peeling badly... would like to get professional look around these curved surfaces... is it possible, or should I just paint it black?
on another notes, is it difficult to relaminate polks with a different laminate (e.g. cherry vs black ash)? and has anyone had success with doing this (i.e. actually looks like it was produced that way)?
Thanks,
-Doug

Good question I would like to know also.engtaz

PartsExpress black ash vinyl 261-610 has some good stretch with a heat gun. I've never tried it with round corners but the feeling it gave while pulling makes me believe it would come out nicely. Paint would be an easier option.

Relaminating should not be a problem as long as you get the old lam off and clean off any glue, etc. I might even give it a very fine sand to make sure the surface is clean and smooth.
