OK, shoot me now if I need more posts to discuss buying something. Also, you can check out my feedback at ebay for mms3rd or go to my business website (shultzemploymentlaw.com). I am looking for a good used carver integrated amp to go with the carver cd player I have and to use with the new/used SDA-CRS+ speakers Stubby just sold to me. If any of you audioholics have a better idea on an integrated to use let me know. Price preferably in the $250-$450 range. If that isn't enough money to get something decent used, then I guess I'll go back to my Phillips boombox. Thanks. This site has been a big help over the years. Mike (a 50 something audio dope).

REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Thanks a lot. I have been tracking ebay, but thought I might check with a group of "honorable" polk groupies rather than give money to some flea shop in the cayman islands.

you can go to audiogon and peruse the Solid State integrated amps for sale there, too. Most will be above your range, but I think there's a solid option or two for your budget.
Are you opposed to separates? If you could get a preamp and amp in your budget, would you consider that as an option?Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
I'm not opposed to separates, just looking to save a little money with integrated and never used separates. Thanks on the audiogon referral. I think I have been on that site. Mike
