Totally my luck lately w/electronics. Got the HK AVR335 from Harman off the bay, got it all hooked up and the left front channel is fried. I get a little sound but hardly anything. So here I am spending half the day going over everything and the only conclusion I've got is a bad channel.:(
Now I get to dork around with customer support. I hope they are good. Anyone else ever have to deal w/them? I just got HK2000 from Doug(dkg999) on Sat. so I thought this weekend would be an epiphany for me but I'm back to the same old thing.
Oh well, still got my health.

Dave

They will send you a replacement once the other is shipped back. They cover shipping both ways.

I bought the 435 on ebay from them (HK Direct) and had to have it replaced twice. The third one does work and sound really good. They are great great receivers for the money but it can be a pain getting one that works.

Good luck. BTW, just shoot them an email, they typically respond quickly. Scott is the name of the bossman....

I got the JBL OnStage speaker for my I-Pod. They sent a replacement right away after the first was DOA. They didn't even have me send the broken one back. Hope all goes well. It just seems to me that they always have A LOT of the refurbished electronics in stock, which make me think about reliability issues (even though I have a 5.1 living room set-up with JBL speakers).

Dave - that sucks! If the bad channel won't even work using the pre-outs to the PA2000, then something is really wrong. Usually it's something in the amplifier section. I've heard H/K has good CS, so hopefully it won't take long to get it replaced! Doug.

I had the same situation with my 235 and although I was pissed when I got the receiver, I was very happy with HK's customer service: in my situation, they sent out a replacement and also sent me a prepaid ups shipping label via e-mail to return the defective receiver. I just printed the label and shipped it
