If this is based on the book by Neil Gaiman, than it should be unbelievable. One of my all-time favorite reads.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Absolutely amazing film... a true masterpiece.

Magic, witches, pirates, fantasy and action all packed into a witty romantic adventure. I was totally blown away by how good this flick was. I wanted to watch it again as soon as the movie ended.. it was that good.

I will buy this for sure for my collection, no questions asked. Reminded me of a modern, "Princess Bride" type film... just a great fantasy all the way around.

Give it a rent or buy, have no idea why it didn't do well on the big screen. (Actually, I do... no nudity, little language, good moral, happy ending type flick...)

And it had some impressive sound as well as a rock solid score. Loved every minute of it!

I've already watched it 4 times. Excellent video, outstanding audio, and a great movie. Definitely gave me a little of that vibe that The Princess Bride gave me back in the day.

I remember reading an interview where they talked about that the studio didn't know how to market this movie, so they did little to no advertising for it. Apparently if you can't explain the plot in 30 seconds, they just don't bother. Pity, because it was quite possibly my favorite movie this year.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

As soon as it was over, my wife said, "That's my new favorite movie!" and to my surprise, I agreed!

It felt like the magic came out and wrapped you up as you sat there watching... I can't describe it any other way! Enjoy!

Well... read the book. Anything by Neil Gaimen for that matter. I highly recommend American Gods for starters.
