SL-2000's for SDA-1C...same?

I may go ahead and pick up a pair of SL-2000's from Ebay for the heck of it and pull the 2 from my Monitor 10B's to put in the SDA's. I guess for my sake, I want to see what they sound like with the original tweeters. Is a SL-200 just a SL-2000 no matter which speaker it ended up in? I know that on the back of the SL's in my 10B's, one says it's from a 5 or 7 and the other is from a CRS. Weird. But I assume they are all the same, correct?

At least this way, I'm only out for a couple of tweeters for tinkering with and can always sell them. Same respect goes if I decide to replace them for the newer RD0's. I can always sell the SL-3000's and recoup some of the expense.

I'm not aware of any reason that would prevent you from doing that,I always thought a sl-2000 was a sl-2000,, same/same in other words, so yes,you can swap them out. Have fun. :)

Why not post a WTB for the 2000's here,,I'm sure that there are a few to be had,,worth a try anyway

True...seems like on occasion there are. Thanks for the idea!

I wouldn't think there would be any difference in them, either. I guess it's just a tag.

    May, I love these SDA's.

    George is correct.....an SL2000 = SL2000, period.

I have a pair I'm pretty sure I'm getting rid of. Just got the RD0's. Avguytx PM me and see if we can work something out.

Please see your other thread, you have 1B's, not 1C's. However, both models used SL2000's, so no worries there.

I may be completely wrong about it but I was just going by what the SDA Compendium said on page 28 about what drivers are in the 1C's and that sometimes the early 1C's had the blade/blade connector. It happens in electronics and speakers...that's for sure. Still does with some of the companies I rep. lol
