Now that I've got a Blackberry Pearl, I'm ready to sell my Axim. It is a little over a year old, and still works as new. The only "wear" on it is where the Aluminum Hardcase rubbed on the surface each time I closed it. The picture doesn't show the scuff very much, but I can email pictures to anyone that is interested.
Here is a little information about it(I haven't looked at the newest models to see if they are much different).
Info:
In the package:
There have been no firmware or software updates loaded into the system since I bought it.
I really liked it, and have made numerous notes on it, but the Pearl does almost everything I need it to do, and I can take notes on paper if it is really needed.
Post here, and PM if you are interested.
edit: The Rhino case is included, but it is basically a freebie in the price, as it shows scratches very easily.

Info:
- Intel 624MHz
- 256MBROM 64MB SDRAM
- 3.7 inch VGA 802.11b, BT
- USB Cradle for Dell Axim X51 Handheld
- Dell Axim X50 Aluminum Hardcase
In the package:
- Wall charger(adapter is removeable, and can be plugged directly into the cradle)
- USB Cradle
- Soft Case
- Original Software (Activesync, and a few other things)
- Pre-installed Boxwave screen protector(doesn't change the screen function or brightness, but it gave me some peace of mind)
- Aluminum Hard Case(this one works, but doens't seem to fit or close as well as I would like, so it basically just a freebie)

Damnit!! I just bought the same one for the wife!
For anyone interested this PDA has a GPS option, and it works really well! For a little more money you can add GPS, and have a PDA well below what a regular GPS car unit would cost you.
That is one sweet PDA you are getting rid of... -
Mike, your recommendations helped me choose this one last year. If it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it and keep using it.Tschüss

Heck, I'm almost thinking at that price to pick this up for myself! I would think you are downgrading with the Blackberry.
-
Yes and no. I needed the axim for a few notes, but the contacts(with addresses) are the main thing I needed. I can store everything I need in the bberry, and have it with me at all times. I'm looking at getting a tablet pc for better notetaking on a jobsite and for presentations.Tschüss

This is one of the most powerful PDAs ever made correct? I know that anything that would compare at the time was at least $200 more. I've wanted one of these for so long but alas, being in college with no job means no buying toys.God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

Find a way to afford one. My life in college became sooo much easier and simplified once I bought an Axim. It will make you a better student. There is a ton of great software out there for these things.
IIRC, this is THE most powerful PDA available. -
Zach, I might be interested and would like to put dibs on it. Let me talk to my wife & see if she still wants one. I'll know something tonight.

Matt's name is on it for now. I'll post an update tomorrow.Tschüss

Any idea if you can use the GPS locator that comes with MS Streets & Trips with the Axim?

Nope. I have both, the MS version uses USB. The Dell GPS system is miles better than the MS version, you should be able to pick it up for about $125. -
Zach, I checked with my wife & she doesn't want one after all, so I'll pass. Bump for a good deal!

Ok, I'm interested so save my spot in line for now...God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
