Hey, anyone know where I can get a replacement tweeter for my 3.1tl? I talked with polk and was told that there are none in stock as they are in the process of replacing this model with a new one with "the same sonic characteristics." Thx

You're not alone ... I'm waiting for some too, I also need a replacement for my 2.3TL tweeters 1(one) in each speaker cabinet.

It seems that many of 2.3TL's owners are waiting for replacements for their SL3000 tweeters. Why only for the 2.3's and I didn't have any problem with my 1.2s? I wonder Why?...

I'd also spoke to Helen Yarbor and she said that they might have some by the end of August or by Mid-September.

For now I guess we should wait till it arrives...

If possible I don't want to put any other type of tweeters...
besides SL 3000. I prefer this Tri-Lam tweet than the "New
Ring Rad Tweet" or the SL 2000.

This is the second time I've had to replace the left channel tweeter. I love the sound these speakers deliver, but I'd prefer not to keep cooking them.
What kind of Amplification are you using? My guess is I'm blowing these tweeters by lack of quality power.
2.3's AND 1.2's? Sounds as though you have a nice set-up.

Currently I'm using Adcom 5802 x2, 300Watts per channel at 8 ohms to amplify
my 1.2TL and the 2.3TL also by Adcom 5503 x3, 200watts per channel.
I know these amps very well they sound crystal clear. The more power you
have, the more your speakers perform best. I' m looking for The Bryston 14B
SST at 600 watts dual mono to amplify my 1.2TL.

When I got the 2.3's from the previous owner, the tweeters in each speaker
cabinet were previously not working so I'm waiting for the replacement from
Polk, even though they still sound very clear with only 2 tweeters that work
from each speaker cabinet, the soundstage of SDA are still there, it's not
    really noticeable.
