SVS PB10, does it have the power?

Hey guys,

I've been on the prowl for a good deal on a sub and I found that SVS is clearing out some overstock. They've marked down the PB10-NSD to $375, which seems like a great deal. I've been reading all the praises for SVS in the forums and have no doubt as to the quality.
The question is, is is going to be big enough for my living room. Its pretty decent size, about 20'x15' with a vaulted ceiling and a loft thats about 20'x12'.

By the way, I've got a Denon 987 and my plan is to get RTi8s, CSi3 and FXi3s. The setup will be mostly for HT.

This seems like a great deal me as long as the 10 can handle the space. Anyone have any words of wisdom for a rookie?

Thanks!

I think that might be pushing it for that sub. I suggest you contact SVS with your room dimensions, as accurate as you can make them, and see what they say. They will not over sell you and will respond promptly.

Thats a big room for the PB10NSD. It really depends on what your looking for. If your looking for walls shaking, reference level bass then the answer is no your not going to get it with that sub in that size room. But if your looking for a good sub at a great price to add some bass then I think you may have found what your looking for.

I think you can't go wrong at that price. While it might not be unbelievable bass in your room, I think it would be VERY good. SVS holds it's value so well, you could probably sell it in 6 months for almost what you paid.

I have one, and I put it in the same size room (without the loft), and though it did well, it did not presurize the room...
It was kind of a let down

The PC-Ultra next to it does though....in a big way !

I am spoiled with the Ultra, I must admit !

I currently am using the PB-10 in my office, but I have been thinking of getting the PB-12, or what I really have been considering is the SB-12 for the size...
I haven`t heard anybody give thier impressions of the SB version though...

For the killer price though, I thought about grabbing a white PB-10....but I`m a sicko, so I`m probably gonna get the new PC-Ultra, or maybe a PB12 Plus/2...!!

Alright, I'm going to pull the trigger on this one. I'm not looking to rattle any fillings loose (yet) and I can't pass up a deal...
