I am a proud owner of a pair 1c's and I would like to know what should I use for my surrounds and, if I feel like it, to listen to the 5-channel stereo on my pre/amp when I want to.

I am using a LSI-140 for my center channel so now, I need suggestions for what to use for the rears. Do I need to match with the 1c's by using a pair of SRS-CRS's or should I find a pair in the RT series?? I have an extra pair of 1A's but, they are too large for my current living configuration so, I would prefer to get some smaller speaks for the rear.

The monitor series are a sonic match for the sda 1c's.
You're not obligated to used sda's as rears although that may be a perfect match.
The rt series do not have the same tweeter/drivers as the sda/monitor series.

    The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once.

The first gen monitor series are a REALLY good match, that is. Ie: monitor 5, 5JR, Monitor 7, 8, 10 etc - as well as the RTA series.

That being said, a lot of members are running vintage Polks with a mix of modern surround specific speakers, such as the CSi5 or LSiC, with stellar results. Be sure to check out the system showcase in the header at the top left of this page.

    Cheers,
