I thought this was pretty cool:

http://www.snopes.com/glurge/nodesks.asp
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

By early afternoon television news crews had gathered in the class to find out about the crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her classroom.

If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

You'd think at least one kid in a Military History class might have guessed the answer. Stupid kids...

I'm talking about more than on the local level. We had a court case at our school about our athletics not allowing a kid to have corn rows and I saw that on CNN:rolleyes:

I think everyone should remember this. Freedom is not without sacrifices.

Having taught American History for the twelve years prior to this one, i'm completely impressed by that teacher's creativity.

Of course she now has a fun problem: how does she maintain that type of first day excitement every semester.
