Energy Take 5's replaced my Polk's
As part of our family room remodeling, I agreed to get rid of the tower speakers and go to a sub/sat system. I never listen to music or TV in this room, it is the wife and kids room. I gave up a Lexicon DC1, Fosgate 5 channel amp, RTi12's, CSi3, FXi3's for a Denon receiver and the Take 5's with the Energy 10" subwoofer. I am pleasently surprised with the sound. It doesn't compare to the previous set up, but it sounds really nice. I would put the Energy system up against my RM6900 system in the living room. The sound is very balanced and neutral. Definitely miss some midrange, but the bass is fuller without having to really drive the system. Now I have to go listen to my SDA's to get over the grief of losing the RTi12's.

I had an Energy Take 5.2 system back around the time I came to this forum. I was always happy with it, until I moved into a house with a very large open floor plan. A very solid product, which, of course, they quit making. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...
