Subwoofer repair
I have a Velodyne DLS-4000R. It is making a crackling noise, so im not sure if the subwoofer blew out. Sonemone was messing with my stuff and put the volume real high and after that the subwoofer started making the crackling noise. This is my first surround sytem I have had so I dont exactly know how sounds what the subwoofer blows out. By guessing, how much do think the reapair would cost. The subwoofer retails for about $600 (Cannot use warranty).

Call Velodyne and see if you can purchase a new sub. Thats the only thing I know to tell you.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

push on the driver, putting your fingers evenly around the dust cover. push the driver in and out, does it grind a little?, a lot? if so, you might have a fried voice coil, in layman's terms, the driver might be shot. call verlodyne and see perhaps if they have a replacement driver?Living Room 2 Channel -
