I already have two pairs of these. They are pretty decent little speakers at $160/pair. At $65, they should be selling like hot cakes! Put them in a garage, spare bedroom, bathroom, office, where ever.

Add a nice little integrated and you have a plausible 2.0 system.

I just ordered a pair for the hell of it.

This is the third time I have tried to order these from Tweeter at an incredible price. Wonder if they will really ship them this time? I doubt it.

Andy, I have read that these have real wood veneer, unlike the Monitor 30's. Is that true?

No, I asked Polk directly and they said the only difference was more black trim.

The finish is pretty nice, especially for a $65 pair of speakers, even if not real wood.

Thanks for the heads-up on this (apparent) deal!

I wonder if it's for real, or one of those ploys to get you to buy something more expensive. Anyone actually get them for that price?

I was planning to set my sister up with an R series HT for her basement (that I'm currently finishing in my spare time). Couldn't pass this up, so ordered 2 pair. Order showed that they're out of stock 1-2 weeks. So, I wonder if the deal is legit.

I got them when they were $80/pr a while back, and everything went smoothly.

They wouldn't give me that price in store, but ordering online was a breeze, and they shipped really quickly, too.

Ok, I decided to order a pair of these for a co-worker looking for some kick around speakers. . . and, now the link doesn't work. Went to Tweeter.com, and none of the links to this product are working. In fact, the whole Bookshelf page is down.

Let me know if any of your orders have been cancelled for those of you that did jump on it already. If not, I'll keep trying to order and/or call in to place my order.

    Thanks.

My boss ordered two pair at 9am this morning. He has already gotten a confirmation email stating they are in stock, and will ship in one to two days.

I ordered mine Saturday night, and my status still says backordered?

I have a feeling this will turn out just like the last two times I tried to order them, but I have my fingers crossed.

Yeah, they'd make ideal surrounds in a Monitor series HT.

Yep, tried to look under 'Bookshelf Speakers' and this is what it says:

    " 0 Items Found

    Coming Soon!
We work hard to keep all our products in stock year round, but occasionally you will find an out-of-stock item. Please be patient and check back again soon! "

Right now, per the website - Tweeter doesn't sell ANY shelf speakers.

    Cheers,

If you check their homepage the T20EB is still on the front page. Polk bookshelf speakers 50% off, then it shows a price of $129. Click the link though, and it's "not available online".

Russ, I IM'd you about the rack. You gonna be around at 9:30-10:30am tomorrow for pickup? My dad will be out that way and has an SUV, won't fit in my ride.

Hell, I ordered 2 pair last night and I can't even find or track my order on tweeter.com. Looks like a horseshit deal. If this their idea of "marketing brilliance" to suck people in, well they can kiss it. It's gonna backfire.

If it looks to good to be true...

We don't have Tweeter in Southwest Ohio, so I've never had the displeasure.

Well, when it works, it works well. Tweeter had all the monitors series at 50% a while back, then threw in a free sub to boot. I got myself into decent 5.1 HT speakers (Euro 90s, Euro 20s, CSi3 later exchanged for CS2 through private sale, and Mirage Omni-12 after trading in PSW10) for like $900 out the door. The sub would've cost me nearly that much itself if I paid full MSRP.

But, yes, in general, it's a worthless company. Bad demo rooms, incompetent sales persons, bad infrastructure as a whole. Doesn't take much imagination to figure out why they are closing 100+ stores, included every one in DFW.

Well, my boss just got an email saying his 2 pair have shipped, but only one tracking number. Oddly enough, the single pair I ordered, two days before him, is still listed as "waiting for stock".

    We'll see...

And the speakers are back on Tweeter's site, listed as half price, reg. $259, on sale for $129.

What do you know... My order status has just changed from "BACKORDER" to "Shipped - FedEx Home Delivery"

I hope they don't just send me ONE T20e for that $65. That would be pretty funny.

Yeah, I was thinking that they unintentionally or intentionally screwed up the price originally - that the $65 should have been for one speaker.

However, I would think that these are boxed as pairs, so hopefully that's what you're getting.

BTW, my 2 pair still show backordered.

I guess the third time is the charm. They shipped mine yesterday, and I recieved them today in perfect shape. Nice little speakers for $65, should have ordered two or three pair, but I don't even know where I will use these.

    Did you guys get yours?
