FS: Arcam CD73T CD Player

It's time to part with my Arcam CD 73T player. I bought it on Audiogon a little over a year ago, so I'm at least the second owner. The player is in fantastic shape, I can't find a mark on it. It still has the protective plastic cover over the display. It sounds great but I'm trying something else at the moment. The player also reads and displays CD text (song title and album title).

I have the original receipt from the original owner, the player MIGHT still be under warranty, but I'm not sure. I can check if that is an issue.

I have the remote, owners manual, power cord, and factory double box. Will ship FedEx ground.

Price $450 shipped (within CONUS)

Thanks for looking, I'll upload pics later today. Until then here is a stock photo (mine is black in color)

Eeesh.. you caught me at the wrong time and the wrong place.
I believe this is a no-brainer for any of you Polkies... about as detailed and exciting a digital soucrce as you can find anywhere near this price range.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

That's a great CDP by another underated manufacturer. You don't have to be flashy to be top notch.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Negative on both. (obviously will play CD's burned from mp3's if they are audio CD's).

I've had one of these in my rig for over a year, great player. To best it, I'm going to have to spend a lot more.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I owned Arcam 73T. This is a very excelent player for this price. My friend had a Rotel 1072, but he had to agree that this player has much better sound.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. it is a great player. Just giving it one bump before it's off to Audiogon tomorrow.

I'm going to hold onto it for now... I am having to give up my dedicated audio room so I will have to consolidate some of my gear to take up less space in the living room. I will figure it out in the next few weeks.

    Thanks for the interest.

I know Russman has an Arcam CD73 and with as much gear as he's had his ears on, it's possible he can compare the two.

Everything I've read says the Arcam is the best player in the price bracket, better than Rotel 1072, Music Hall, etc. this was back a while ago when I was researching players. That was before the new Rega Apollo came out, and might have been before the Jolida caught on.

One thing is for sure Arcam seems to be a sleeper in the U.S. While they are the number one seller in the UK.
