Lack of bass from LSi25's

I have been having problems with my system since August of 2006. First, I had to send my right channel LSi25 speaker in for subwoofer and crosover repair, then I found out that my NAD reciever was seriously messed up and had it repaired. Now, after having the NAD back, I found that the amount of bass I am getting out of my speakers is much reduced. I sent it down to another guy in California that NAD recommended and he called back yesterday to say that the unit is working perfectly! Arrghh!!! I can only assume that I am doing something wrong in the setup menu for the reciever, but am not sure where I'm going wrong. I used to have my mains set to large, then the NAD guy recommended I set them to small. The crossover is set to 120 (same as it used to be). Bottom line is, the amount of subwoofer is nowhere near where it used to be and in the test tone menu, I noticed that the subwoofer channel level was set to 8 or 9 dB louder than I used to have it and it STILL gave me very little bass. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong and am beyond frustrated. I anyone has any step by step setup instructions for my speakers or is knowledgeable about my NAD T763 reciever, please let me know as I'm clearly in need of someone who know what they are doing. I thought i did know, but clearly do not. I miss my music!!

set your crossover to 80 and your speakers to large.. if that doesn't give you more bass, then something is wrong..

also check your speaker connections. if they are crossed and plugged in backwards, that will also impact bass output. I had this happen to me just this week as i was moving things around. It's easy to get the speaker wires turned around.

Also check to see if the jumpers on your LSi25's is in place or not. if it's not in place, you would not get any bass, unless you were running bi wires.

Hmmmm....I did remove the jumpers recently, but on polks subwoofer setup forum here, they recommend removing the flat metal jumpers from the input terminals to get "that last bit of sound quality". I'm now officially confused!

Or, replace the jumpers with speaker wire from neg to neg and pos to pos. I think that was probably the tip you saw on the forum. Speaker wire of quality is supposedly better than the brass jumpers. . .

if you remove the jumpers that tie the binding posts together.. and you only use the upper posts, it will only activate the tweeters. if you only use the bottom binding posts, it will only activate the mid range drivers/woofers.

put them back NOW!!!!!!! ;)

(unless you are bi-wiring/ bi amping, then leave them off).
