From my personal collection:
This is one big **** receiver. Right off the bat It doesn't have DTS and it's 5.1.
Those are the cons.
The pros? Probably the best sounding AVR that I've encountered. It's got all the bells/whistles. On screen programming makes things MUCH simpler. For a receiver, it's got balls. I've had it running my 2.3tl's full bore without even getting warm...and, I've got to tell you, it sounded pretty damn good. Cosmetically fine. No scars, solid 8/10 just from normal wear.
Here is the **** from the Denon website:

Anyhow, this unit is clean, sounds great and weighs a ton. I have the manual and remote.
My price is 275.....plus shiping. At this size, I can't eat the shipping.
Pics to come.

EDIT: Off the market for now. SORRY!.

The 3600 came in two flavors. The initial version (mine) was only Dolby Digital. The then issued the 3600DTS that had, you guessed it, DTS. Other than that, they are identical in every way.
I know, I friggin' fat fingered the initial post and can't get it to edit.

Troy - What's the deal with DTS anyway? Sorry but my knowledge on theater surround systems is lacking, to say the least. I'm still on an old Pro Logic system.
From what I understand Dolby Digital 5.1 is a HUGE change from what I have but that's all I know...Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me -
DTS and Dolby are the 2 main surround sound stages.

exactly, it's two different encoding schemes.
DD is a huge improvement over pro-logic and in this case, need not be an expensive one either.
So, what's it going to take to put you into this fine Denon today, sir?

Three words, abbreviated, WAF.
You have a PM...Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me -
I wonder...., how would the preamp section of this Denon compare to my B&K PT 3 pre? I know I am spoiled to this point with 2 channel but if I would actually swing this the 125.2 B&K would stay with me and be ran off the Denon.Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me
-
WAF is effected by the sweeter the music the more apt they will be to accept it. Put her favorite music or movie on at good level for her to be more accepting of it.
What ever it takes,

Troy - Could you give me a couple of days so I can "work"? I'll let you know for sure Monday AM or before.Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me

will do....just let me know.

Update:
Apparently this item MAY have an issue. As such, I'd rather not risk passing on something that is of questionable reliability. I'd rather risk people being pissed for taking something off the market than someone being pissed they bought a lemon.
Sorry for any inconvenience to anyone.

Not a problem Troy. Just figured the measurements on this unit, man this thing is DEEP, and it won't fit into my cabinet with cutting the back out where it would go. The WAF just went down the tubes...
Anyway, thanks much for the update!Remember, when you're running from something, you're running to something...-me
