Now that I'm going to have an office in the room I want to add a nice 2 channel rig in there. I was going to use this money to upgrade my home theatre but I'm going to wait a bit until I have time to build the home theatre properly.

what I want is some advice on what to run

I have $4300 left after buying that nad receiver from doro, which is going to be hooked into my home theater.

What I need is some speakers recommendations and electronic recommendations.

NAD C162 pre
NAD C272 power

There's plenty in that budget. Some great gear for sale on the FM here as well. Sunfire, Bryston, B&K, Von Schweikert, Odyssey. I would check those out first.

I have two SACD players. One is a Marantz DV-6500 ($500) and the other a cheap Pioneer DV-578A ($125). There are a few good combo players out there for $500 which will play, DVD-Audio, DVD Video, SACD, and CD/CD-R, Etc. The problem is that SACD hasn't taken off as planned, and I'm afraid it will go the way of DAT and 8-track. Marantz is a quality brand, plays standard CDs well and they have a couple of good SACD players available for online purchase through accessories4less.com, which is an authorized Marantz on-line dealer (they have refurbs too.) I was at Fry's today scanning the SACD rack, and the releases are pretty limited. Good luck to you.

That Sunfire in the flea market should power pretty much any speaker you decide to go with.

I would consider the Denon offerings for SACD playback too.

I second shizelbs totally. A Sunfire would power those strata mini's to unbelievable levels. And from what I hear Denon's CD and their DVD players as well are incredible. So I think you'd be happy with both of those. Have you thought of the LSi25 since you're wanting the powered subwoofers in the tower? Or even something from Def Tech?

I've always liked to think that my Marantz DV-8300 is a great player...I would go for a dedicated SACD player if you aren't planning on watching movies though...Marantz makes a nice one of those too, I think there was one for sale in the Flea Market, I'll see if i can find it.......
