ADVICE FOR MAKING INTERCONNECTS FOR SDA-1A's

Hello All,
My first post here,Im a regular at audiokarma.
I recently scored a pair of SDA-1A's with no interconnects.I contacted Helen at Polk,they have
the Blade to blade style in stock(which is what I need) for $35.00 + s&h.
I would like to try and make them my self,if not,then I'll buy them.
I have some 16 gauge cable,but have not been able to find anything close to the little plug that would fit into either end.
Any advice or pointers and direction would be greatly
helpful.I am looking forward to how good they can sound,thanks-Mark!

The connector is commonly called a Jones Cinch and Allied is one place that sells them.
