I am thinking about buying these speakers and have a couple of questions.

1. Can you use these speakers in a 6.1 or 7.1 setup.

2. Looking at the diagrams of how the sound travels it looks like the speakers are mounted to the wall. Would I be able to mount these speakers to the cieling without losing the performance in the sound.

You can use these speakers in both 6.1 and 7.1 setups. They are meant to be monunted on side or back wall of you room. They are not designed to mounted on cieling. If cieling is the only space you have available then you should look for in-cieling speakers.

Is it ok to use the FXi's in stereo mode aswell? I have RTi6's for surrounds right now but I'm thinking of getting FXi5's instead, I do listen to music in 7 CH stereo alot though...

The FXi5 will do very well in 7 ch Stereo mode. By switching them to Bipolar mode, you will get insync music projection from all drivers giving you a nice soundstage.

here is a question that someone else asked that I also wanted to know but know one replyed.

I just noticed that the FXi3's are rated at being able to handle 150 watts while the larger FXi5's are rated at only 125...is this a possible misprint in the specs? Not that it really makes any difference, I was just wondering if it's a mistake or not...you would think that the larger speaker would have higher power handling, or atleast the same, but not lower...

It doesn't matter either way 1LF! My FXI-3's are being driven with 405wpc @ 8ohms & sound great! Both will do just fine no matter what power you give them.

I was just wondering because why are you paying more for the fxi5 and getting less power.
