Hello all,

Looking to upgrade my stereo in my boat. I purchased (6) MMC6500's and (2) C.400.4 amps.

What is the best way to configure the amps and speakers so that in the future if I want to add a sub, I can use power from one of the amps to power the sub?. If I add a sub, I do not need anything to huge or powerful.

Is it possible to use (1) amp for (4) speakers and the second amp for (2) speakers and (1) sub in the future? or should I wire the speakers to these two amps and if in the future I install a sub to look into a sub amp?

Thanks .. Polk stuff is the best.

You could wire 4 of the components to one amp by doing it 2 ohm stereo. That would leave 2 sets which you could wire in 2 ohm stereo on the other amp leaving 2 channels left (left and right) for a sub. Just make sure the sub is a 2 ohm single voice coil or a dual voice coil 4 ohm sub or you wont get much power at all to that sub.
