Hello,

I have a set of Polk RM7600's and I was wondering what gauge speakers wires will work? I will be using a Yamaha receiver @ 140w. I was using 16g wires on my old setup. Can I use banana plug with the 12g wires?

Thanks for your input

Hello again, Lucky. For an excellent explanation about speaker wiring in general, including a table of suggested gauges, study this report by a veteran audio professional. Most likely your 16ga lampcord will be fine.
