thanks for the reply I just posted this on another post:

Hey thanks for the reply, I nedd a question answered when you say it needs lots of power, do you mean it needs to be played loud or do you mean that it can be played at a low level but need the power to do this.

Rti150's have a bad rep IMO, I own them and love them. But they need some serious WATTAGE to make them come ALIVE and we are not talking receiver anything here. They also been known to KILL a receiver so don't even think about hooking them up to a $500 AVR.

Other then that never seen cherry 150's don't think those picture does them Justice.

Power hungry does not alway mean playing it loud but refers to being able to deliver watts on demand. Thats the reason most recommend 200 watts per channel, that should take care of most speaker demands.

    good luck

My father has a set for his front left and right. I think they sound quite good. He does not have any type of amp hooked to them.

    I would request larger pictures.

I see something under the right base - not sure what it is.

In the pic of the side, the grill looks warped.

Well it turned out to be better than I thought, The speakers did turn out to be RTi 150's the surise was the LS's turned out to be LS 70's. I paid 350 for all of them and He drove a 150 miles to meet me for 50.00 in gas. Now what to do.

    I have now 2 ls70's 2 ls50's 2 ls/fx surrounds 2 rt150's 1rt1000p 1rt1000i plus i think 2 sa 6's?

What would be the best setup HT

you've got quite a big collection of Polk towers there...

keep similar models together to build a home theater.. so keep the ls's with the other LS's, keep the RTi's with the other RTi's for best performance.

I've always wanted to own a pair of RTi150's, they don't come up for sale very often. you got a great deal with them. If you ever get tired of the RTi150's, lemme know. :)

I can't believe how good they sound, I got the setup for the LS 70's but the 150's sound so good I set them as fronts and I actually moved the RTl000's as rears with Rt 400i a center i am not lacking in bass. now I just need to figure how to use LS/FX's in this setup My Yamaha amp seems to drive the 150's ok.
