How do I hook up a video cable to my receiver and have picture on my TV? Do I have to have an HDTV? Is that the only way it'll work? I wanna go into this thing of video switching through the receiver, but I dont know how it works and would like to know if it's worth sending video signal through my receiver or if I should stick with sending audio signal to it?

Well......Lets see if I can explain this. You will have a MONITOR OUT set of jacks on the back of your receiver...Connect your TV to this however you are able (S-Vid., Comp, Exc.) This is useful if you have more than one video source that you use on a regular basis, such as a cable box and a DVD player...All you have to do is switch inputs on the receiver and the picture shows up on the TV....The AUDIO IN section on the back of your receiver will have corresponding labels above or below the inputs. Plug up the DVD player to DVD,exc. You don't need a HDTV.....I hope this helped you out a little...
