I just purchased a set of oak. I had wanted black, but I got a decent price in them used.

Is there any advantage to converting them to the 2000i?

Forgot to ask which a better Center Channel match the C400i? or CS1000P? or the CS40i?

Right now I have the RT2000P and the PSW 1000 sub.

    Thanks,
    David

    David,

Welcome to CP...no clue on your question, though the 1000P is supposed to be the finest center ever made by Polk and I think the match for the 2000P.

Someone with more knowledge should be with you soon.

Are you the mod from AVS? :)

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

    Thats what I was wondering.

I would think the 1000p would be the center to go with. Isn't it powered?

I thought it would be best match.

I saw one for sale in the classifieds, however I can not send a private message or contact the seller since I am new.

I would apperciate someone giving the seller my information

    Thanks,
    David:)

i don't think you can convert your 2000P's into 2000I's. the drivers are different i'm sure.. and those drivers from what I understand are no longer available... at least the original ones aren't.. Polk probably has replacement's for the old "I" series of speakers.. but to me it wouldn't be cost effective.

Oh yeah. congrats on your speakers and welcome to club Polk

there are a few diferences between the 2000p and 2000i, crossovers are slightly diferent as well as the midranges are different too, and also the 2000p has 100 watt amps oposed to the 50 watt amps in the 2000i, other than that the cabinets are the same!:D the bird
