I just picked up a pair of RTi10s and I am currently running them with my Pioneer Elite VSX-82 AV reciever @ 130 wpc and I have them bi-amped...I was thinking of getting a pair of the Rotel 980s to run a bit more power to them...360 watts rms bridged @ 8 ohms per speaker...would this work well for the RTi10s or is that too much to run to them and should I look for an amp that puts out around 200-250 wpc???

You'll be fine. Other options would be to run just one, or bi-amp the speakers instead of bridging. 10's will be fine with just one amp but if you don't mind spending the extra for a second then no harm done at all.

So you don't think 360 rms to each speaker won't be too much for them?

200 watts per speaker @ 8 ohms would be fine Adcom,Carver and Sunfire (Carver's newer brother) are some amps to name a few other than Rotel.

Good luck and it sound like you have a good plan,

As stated before you will be good Matt. I always liked Rotel when I owned a 1080.

Well I think I'm going to look around for a good used/ previously enjoyed 2 CH. stereo amp that puts out 200+ wpc instead of running 2 Rotel 980s bridged...

You should get rid of the 10's. Get LSi15's, LSiC, LSiFX, LSi9 get an Anthem D2 and a Sunfire TGA 7400. You should be good to go after that.

Your plans sound fine. The two rotels would be good or the (1) 200wpc stereo
would be enough. Your headed in the right direction.
