I would wait, who knows what you will WANT in a year
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Speculation is that they are slated for replacement next year. With that being said, they are great speakers and I certainly don't plan to upgrade anytime in the near future.

    Michael
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

What difference does it make when or if they're being replaced? If you want the 15's, just buy them.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

    Don't expect that anytime soon.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I agree with Early B. As much as the SDA's are loved. Anyone who likes a speaker should buy it. The next new speaker, might not sound as good to you.

Honestly dude, unless you have an overwhelmingly large room I dont feel like you need 15's. LSi9 for fronts I honestly feel will do you fine. I dont know what your ratio of music to movies is from what everything I've heard so far about them, they are spectacularly detailed and sharp crystal clear. They love power, they love to be played loud, it's what they live for LOL But, make sure you have no less than 200 watts being pushed in them or you'll actually think that they aren't good speakers cause they'll sound like crap. Food for thought from what I've learned off of these guys here at Club Polk

Keep in mind that in most if not all cases the $700-$800 sets are genuine new Polks, but they are sold by non-warranty companies therefore they remove the serial numbers and you can't get warranty thru Polk. Not a bad thing, but just so you are aware you are comparing apples to oranges in that sense. Tweeter will have a full waranty. Myself I woudn't hesitate to buy on-line from a reputable e-tailer.

I talk to a sale rep at Crutchfield yesterday. He said that he had not heard of anything as of yet. However he also said they had been out since 2002 and it was time for a change.

If it wasn't hinted at during the most recent CES show then I would guess it's a ways off.

ok. i missed the auction.....LSi15s went for 800+160 shipping. but i think i might be getting another deal here. LSi9s, LSiC, and LSi F/Xs for an even $1000....sound like a great deal, right? i am keeping my fingers crossed and i might be getting them this week.

i also wanna get Outlaw Model 990 Preamp/Processor and Model 7500 5-channel Balanced Amplifier. Do you think this will REALLY sound better vs Denon AVR-3806 and just 2 200amp mono blocks for the fronts ?

this is $2500 vs ebay boought AVR about $800 and $650 for amps. = $1450. a $1000 dollar difference !

Is what a good deal? Having trouble following your post. $1K for the 9's, center and f/x's is a very good deal.

I don't understand the rest of your post and $1450 difference.

ok. i've been offered LSi9s, LSI F/Xs, and LSiC for an even $1,000 (no shipping here)

but now i need the rest of the Home Theater (Amps, Pre-amps or AVR)

I heard alot of good about Outlaw products, but i also read in this forum that Outlaw Model 990 Preamp and Denon AVR-3806 are sort of similar in sound output, and yet Outlaw will be more expensive and it does not have HDMI.

Another thing is getting Amps. A 5 channel amp Outlaw Model 7500 or just go with 2 mono blocks for the front LSi9s ?

And finally another question rises. Maybe i should wait for HDMI 1.3. I beleive first receivers are due some time August, right ?

All of the LSI line is 4ohms which will place a strain on a receiver. If you are going to do this get the Outlaw 990 & 7500 and be done with it in one fell swoop.

Do you use HDMI now? Do you know for sure that you are definately going to in the future?

There is ALWAYS something new on the horizon. At some point you just have to jump in & go.

thats what i wanted to do.........until i read about HDMI 1.3. and that it is the next big thing along with Blu-Ray and TrueHD sound...etc.

    HDMI 1.3

    Released 22 June 2006.[7] [8]

    * Increases single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps)
    * Optionally supports 30-bit, 36-bit, and 48-bit xvYCC with Deep Color or over one billion colors, up from 24-bit sRGB or YCbCr in previous versions.
    * Incorporates automatic audio syncing (lip sync) capability.
    * Supports output of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio streams for external decoding by AV receivers.[9] TrueHD and DTS-HD are lossless audio codec formats used on HD DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. If the disc player can decode these streams into uncompressed audio, then HDMI 1.3 is not necessary, as all versions of HDMI can transport uncompressed audio.
    * Availability of a new mini connector for devices such as camcorders.[10]

All I can say is the Lsi package is a very good deal. I'm a 2-ch guy and am not up on the latest HT bells and whistles so I can't help you. I don't think you could go wrong with either piece as a preamp/processor, just find what features you want. Go with sperate amplification regardless because you'll be wasting the Lsi capabilities if you don't.

Jump on the Lsi's, thats an awsome deal.
As far as the outlaw stuff goes. I was a tweeter wasting time one day talking to a sales guy who new his stuff. He was raving about some vintage polks he just bought and pulled me aside to tell me he was buying outlaw. In his opinion it was better then everything they carry except the krell equipment which was out of his range.
