Are vintage Polks experiencing a market upswing or is this guy just asking too much (or do I just not know what the hell I'm talking about) ?

Not entirely out of line, but at the top of the market, for sure.

One thing to remember, a lot of sellers 'ask' a little high, so with offers and counters they can end up 'about right'.

    Cheers,

Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Perhaps a bit on the high side, but certainly not way out of line. If those are as nice as he says a decent score at $125.
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it.
