Mark, are the terminal cups from the 5jr's the same size as the 5b's? Are these from original 5 jr's or 5 jr +'s? Are they fused or poly switches? I'll take them as spares for my 5b's if they will work. I'm going to jump over to the troubleshooting forum and have a look see at the shcematics for all 3 (5jr's, 5jr+ and 5b's) and I'll get back to you.

You said cups, the cups are identical. Correct, the inductors are different. Just clip the leads and spend $10 on a cheap Air Core....it's not like you won't have board space....as there is no board. I would upgrade the inductors anyways, there's only two and its pretty cheap. I can see the x-over nerds being cheap on a big SDA but when it comes to really doing a crossover right, and its this simple, gimme a break.

Its simply copper wire on a spool, much like thread. The core is either inert or magnetic. They can be cheap and/or really expensive. It just depends on your motivation.
