Got a chance to watch this one last night. It's a movie about dragons, sorcerors, damzels in distress, well, you get the idea. The pq was top notch. I listened to this one in DTS. Before I started this one up I decided to stack my subs and put them in the front left corner. I was anticipating some good bass scenes. I was not disappointed. The bass from this movie will give your subs a workout. I have my bass set a little hot in DTS mode, but I don't think it would matter. This movie has good deep bass. And the movie as a whole isn't bad either. Kept me entertained. It's worth a rental.

Ya, I really wanted to see this in the theater, but the wife didn't want to. I can't wait to rent it! Seems like it could be pretty slick! Thanks for the reminder

    Stacked subs are the ticket.

I will make sure I get this one, my grandson loves the Dragon movies and so does Grandad, nothing like a fire breathing Dragon and Hot Damsel's in Distress.

I picked up the BRD, excellent PQ and SQ and not a half-bad movie either, I really enjoyed it.

I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy fan. I wasn't excited about this movie, as I thought, 1) the book was written by a 16 year old and probably a too juvenile rendition of a coming of age story, and, 2) pretty bad reviews.

Rented it...enjoyed it...decent fantasy, decent fx, decent acting...script was underwhelming, but well worth the rental. Excellent actors in supporting roles, but not get the best bang for the buck from them (script).

Open for a sequel (there were at least 3 books), but I doubt if it will happen.

If you like fantasy...check it out.

As a precursor my neighbor has the first two books which I read some time ago and I am a Sci-Fi fan.

I rented this last weekend and thought it was just OK. My advice don't read the books before seeing the movie as the movie left out a lot of detail. The biggest parts are his training and dragon growing up in a normal manner, not just flash I’m big now! Not to mention a lot of things that lead up to him leaving the village and Brom getting killed. Oh yeah and the Urgals aren’t humanoid either.

The books are derivative of the Lord of the Rings, especially the second one, but the best parts of the first book were just not there. Had they put them in it would have been a longer but much better movie. I agree they left it open for a trailer but don’t see it happening.

I watched this the other day too... and it was blah... ok.

Seemed ok, but just very lacking in depth and story. Sounds like they left out quite a bit of good stuff, and now I'm tempted to read the books...

A rental, but don't expect too much. It DID have some monster bass though, so that made me smile!!! :D

I thought it was 'eh'. Entertaining enough, but LOTR is a tough act to follow, and fantasy battle scenes will never be the same.

It was ok, I give it a 6. I would rather be at an insurance seminar than watch LOTR. So this one being under 37 hours was good :)

Put it in the g*ddamn basket!!!!!
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Damn, who let Zombie out again! Be sure to lock the cage behind you. Now he is all out of the closet and selling gear my checkbook can't handle.
