For those who have complex home theaters and need some help...

Harmony 676 universal remote, On sale at Amazon for $49.99 w/free super saver shipping.

This was a $150 remote until just recently. Previous lowest price has been at Sam's for $90. I ordered one just a few minutes ago. Already have one. It is a great little remote.

This may be a one-day sale, so if you want one, don't wait.

Most end users preferred the 676 to the 880 because of the better feeling hard buttons, better button locations and ergonomics, triple IR emitters, and more reliable operation. Not to mention, it has pretty much always been cheaper.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Did he sell out, or just decide it was a losing effort to sell them for $199?

I luckily emailed another company to price match his offer. Hopefully, they won't notice his sale has ended and will give me the price match. I really need a third HD-DVD player for my two TV apartment :)

Oh, got my Audio Advisor stands today. Think they ran me $44 shipped and received them in like 4 business days. They are probably a little shorter than I need, but I can find some use for them.

originally intended for htf? forums with 200 units available then it crossed over to avsforum and he got another alotment of 200. he sold out in about 36 hours. he stated that he lost $12,000 on the deal. but in the end, i'm sure toshiba is going to do something to take care of him...

my guess for the price was to move out current stock for future model hd dvd players from toshiba. or possibly even 'test' the market by selling at the perceived 'magic price point'.

Sounds pretty magical. . . for everyone except the guy losing $12K on the deal :)

$199 definitely is an attractive pricepoint and if they would only get more movies out on HD-DVD, could help turn the tide.
