These are the 4 tube EL 34 version-- they are very good to say the least--don't let the 60 watts fool you.

Those "close screw" types of bananas are murder to work with. I was using them on my HT speakers (five sets), not those particular ones but the same design, and no matter how much I tightened the things, they would come loose or the wire would just pull out of the plug while watching TV or a movie. They're solidly made but you have to use two pair of pliers to really get them good and tight. Be careful, put a peice of cloth between the contact points of the pliers and the plug and for goodness sakes DO NOT over tight them as they will snap. Even if you are going to use spades, you must get them very tight. -
^^^^ +1
I agree, those are difficult to work with - I had ones similar to that!

I like how it says copper in the title, but in the description: "Ferromanganese Tip" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferromanganese
Whoa, in that case DO NOT use the pliers as I stated above because the "Ferromanganese" is crap and will brake even under slight pressure from two pairs of pliers. Well maybe not because it says the tip. Why the hell would they use copper on the whole base and nanner clip and put that crap on the end? Perhaps because it is more pliable than copper thus allowing you to spread the springs easier? It can be for good conduction. -
guess i better cancel my order then. i was gonna use them as spares. thanks for the inside infomole'

MOle, you are going to like your BDP-23 mated to your Elite. I have somewhat the same, only my Elite is the 21TXH and PQ/AQ blows me away, so much so, I had to put a seatbelt on my Lazyboy............
