MCM is now selling white van speakers http://mcmelectronics.com/product/58-12545 ....better watch out LSi15's ;) These side mounted 8's have bite :D I cant believe they weigh 72 pounds each

These, including the bookshelf version, look exactly like the last offerings of Acoustic Research (AR). These were designed when it was still part of International Jensen and before the company got purchased (subsequently ruined) by Audiovox. I wouldn't be surprised if these were leftovers from that time.

See link to similar AR offering from Audiovox's website. These were cleared out recently by J&R at similarly low prices. Don't laugh....these may turn out to be "steals".

For those who can't find a CSi5 center channel, here's a pretty nice alternative:

    Polk Audio CSiA6 Open-Box from warehousedeals.com for $298.61 shipped

I haven't purchased anything from warehousedeals, but it is supposed to be part of Amazon.com and offers the same warranty, service, etc. of anything bought new at Amazon.

    HK 3485 $204.75
    NIB

    RTi8 $89 each
NIB (if you're lucky), open box, demo

There were CSi2's(might have been CSi1?) on sale but I didn't check the price.

    Happy hunting...

(I have not check their website)

CSi1, not CSi2, I think it was around $100-110. Sony's STRxxx, $1000+ MSRP, $6xx. Pretty decent deals. I think the HK's were refurbished. Someone looking for a good receiver/intergrated on budget, that's the ticket.

Polk R50's at Fry's, cherry, $60 each. Add about $13 each for shipping, and away you go.

    Sami,
I picked up the 3485. It's brand new although some of the boxes were open so I guess YMMV. The one I picked up was unopen and minty. I believe refurbs are "3485z" but fry's is notorious for selling open box as "new". Nice unit for a bedroom. No spdif if that's important to you.
Thanks for the correction on the CSi1.

    Hope you're feeling better!

Just in case you're paranoid about using anything but "CD specific" markers on CD-Rs....

Radio Shack has a 4-pak CD/DVD markers with a CD marker eraser for $1.99. It's being sold under the Shack's Gigaware brand. The 4-pak include markers for black, red, green, and blue.

Not a incredible deal, but worth mentioning.

    POLK RTA 15TL's - $450

    http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/ele/677246450.html

I'm familiar with the seller and he usually takes care of his speakers. Even if they were like new, it's still a little high for me.

Why has this turned from the Audio Deal of the Day thread to the thread where everyone just posts any deal they find, even when it's admittedly not a good deal?

Oh, well. I was looking for something cheap in the $100 - $200 range to get by (just sold my beastly BDI AXIS 8022 stand) and hold my gear until I move. This will fit that bill.

The free shipping and paypal acceptance made it a no brainer.

For $198 + sh these are a fantastic deal. AR was gobbled up by Audiovox, but these were the last gasp of a once-decent mid-fi company. There are numerous white-van speakers all over the internet, but you posted a bonafide great deal even if tongue-in-cheek.

Polk SDA SRS's on Long Island.

His price is high, but it couldn't hurt to give a reasonable offer.

Saw this ad on CL Dallas. No price, but if he's needing them gone by tomorrow, I'm sure you can get them for a steal.

    http://dallas.craigslist.org/ele/682637826.html

Looks like a real nice setup. I'd get it to use/flip but I have zero room around my place.

The seller is looking to get $300 for the DVD-P and 200 for the receiver (Dolby ProLogic, no DD/DTS, but it does have inputs for external decoder). $500+ for the speakers. Not worth it, IMO.

Nothing like some asshat that has them on EBAY, they puts them on CL.
What if some local guys makes a better offer just before the auction ends?
    That's why I don't like EBAY.
