    Good price, I believe the 1217 is more sought after but with a new cart and in that condition.....75 clams seems to be a bargain.

    Check out that Dual good, make sure everything operates as it should. They tend to be complex inside due to the automatic functions. The 1229 is the grandpappy of Duals. Great table and my former #1 but I paid to have mine totally redone. That doesn't seem like a great price for that model unless it's flawless IMO

    You won't find a 1229 for 75 bucks....but if you do, you better knock over small children to get to it. Dual made some solid tables back when, obviously most may need some work done but if your the handy Andy type, they make great starter tables.

    I don't think for the 75 invested, your going to find better.

    It does say professionally cleaned and tested you're right Tony - my comment was just to look it over well, if as advertised, its probably a great deal. If there are problems though and you aren't a handy Andy, it get's spensive fast is all. I certainly wasn't trying to suggest that you would find a 1229 for that.

    You can find 1216's relatively regularly on the 'bay for about that price NOT in that professionally inspected condition though, a little caution was all I was trying to advise.

    I hear ya man, I got what you were sayin'. The 1216's, if memory serves, were solid tables but nothing to write home about. Better than some though and for that price in that condition with a new cart....kinda a no brainer imho. If your budget is that limited, what else are you going to find ?

    Yea I have never seen a Dual less then $150. I've been looking for a TT for my son that is mildly autistic and stumbled across this one. I have twins and one has a Sony a friend gave him and the other is just not interested in vinyl some. They turn 18 on May 30th and the one without a TT wanted a record soundtrack from a game so I wanted to get him something inexpensive that was fully automatic. I'm leaning towards the AT-60 atm.

    They are TL... The earlier versions have the donut drivers. Dust caps appear to be pushed in on a few of the drivers.
