accessories4less.com. They are an authorized reseller of refurbished units from Onkyo, Marantz, Denon, Sherwood and a couple other brands.
It's a great place for decent gear if you don't want to pay retail. I purchased an Onkyo NR807 there a few years back and it worked out marvelously.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/perreaux-pmf5550-powerhouse-amp-500-watts-rms-per-channel-origanal-box-/121036237648

Although this amp is almost 25 years old, Perreaux electronics are, indeed "built like tanks," and this is an incredible deal at the curent bid of less than $160 + $140 shipping. You do not see the PMF5550 for sale often.
Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.

Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One.

EnderShadow, I first heard the PMF5550 driving a pair of SDA SRSs in an audio store in Mountain View, CA, in late 1989 or 1990. I coveted the rig, but the size of the amp and the size of the SDA SRSs made it out of bounds for my wife and me at that point in our lives. So, we walked out of the store with a Perreaux SA33 preamp, PMF2350 amp, and a pair of Polk Audio 1Cs -- all of which are still in my hands and still functioning. I still covet the PMF5550, but it makes no sense now, given my other electronics.

I think that amp would work wonders for just about any big speakers, and even more so for some Maggies...... but like you said it looks HUGE!!!!!!

You're right. If you're interested, I've attached the original product brochure from 1988.

I wish I could justify buying it, but no way! :frown:

Dan- I'd go check those out and see how they sound if it's close to you. Could flip one of the 3 for cost and rest is bonus.
