I have a friend who has these

monitor 50 pair
monitor30 pair
cs1
psw10

He's asking 1200 canadian which is about 1050 american dollars.

I tell him its too much and he says I'm crazy


who's right and how much should he be asking.


theres a case of beer riding on this

    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    I don't get it, if he wants to sell them why is he asking for over regular prices. If you added it up regular pricing with 0 discount, just walking into a store and buying them, its 979.95 US. You could easily get 10% off this by doing minimal effort, so realistically your looking at below $900.

    Personally I wouldn't buy used speakers unless they were in perfect condition for more then 30% off retail. At most I would be charging $700 for these, assuming they are in near perfect condition.

    After reading your post, but before reading any others, the number that came to mind off the top of my head was $750, but I guess that's even a little bit too much. If he gets what he's asking, he's one heck of a salesman.

    I want to see who's ready to pay over $1K for these used... Has anyone paid that much for new even? That's crazy.

    I helped my coworker assemble the same exact set for $860 new with full warranty.

    1449.97 CAD plus tax. these are the regular retail not internet store prices.

    in mint condition. thats why I told him 800 US


    with fry's its 1275 US with shipping so if you wanna get picky, I sell for a better price if you exchange the money

    I told him to get the rti's and he'd be happier but he knows now

    For reference, I drove to Canada last year and bought used from a private seller:

    for $450 USD. Your friend needs to check himself into a mental institution.
