My Rogue Audio Metis is on its way . . . I just purchased it off Audiogon.

Now the only question is . . . what should be the first drink and song to be had in the presence of Metis??? Suggestions are welcome . . . I listen to it all and drink just about anything (barring chick drinks).

Check out the write-up.

Well, I just picked up Mary Stallings "Fine and Mellow" - Naturally balanced two microphone recording. It's an amazing recording. I like a lot of Eric Clapton Blues and Rock. Sometimes I even listen to TOOL when I"m feeling angry. But, I have to say Blues all the time, but just discovered Jazz.

Congrats! I've found that the Rogue pre's have the open and deep soundstage that I like. It seems like they bring the music to you. Enjoy! I would vote for the XRCD version of Jazz at the Pawnshop!

I like a good shot of black label on the rocks with a cold Sam Adams.

Congrats on your new pre; Rogue was one of the brands I was looking into in my last preamp search; have heard only good things about them.

Can anyone recommend some other good CDs with Mary Stallings or perhaps some other good jazz recordings? I never knew I would like this stuff so much. Coming home and listening to Mary after work is quite possibly the closest I have ever felt to the days when all I had to worry about was Saturday morning cartoons and the cute girl down the street.
