Room Acoustics... plan

Alright guys.. Ive added acoustic panels to my list!
Heres my plan - my room is small, so putting 4x2 panels in here will be interesting. But due to room size, here is what Ive thought up...
1) 3 corners of the room - stagger a panel in the corner - two on the front stage wall, one on the left rear stage. The one on the right rear stage with the door will go flat along the wall with no door.
2) One panel on each of the walls, one will have to be mounted on my closet door though.
And one behind my head - horizontally.
And a throw rug roughly 4-5' long, 2' wide...
Any thoughts.
Also, since I will be using 7 panels - will anyone be interested in 2 panels?
Looking at a Sept/Oct time frame.
All thoughts appreciated.

It looks like you are addressing the two key areas, first reflection points and bass trapping the corners. The throw rug is also a good Idea.I did my room in a similar fashion and can say it was well worth it.Your Tylers may sound great now but they will sound even better after you improve the rooms acoutsics.Testing

They sound great, but I can hear alot of sound bouncing around. Makes bad recordings sound a million times worse too.
Its needed in folds....
Thanks for the input.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
why wait until October? Just make some yourself. You're handy, and it doesn't cost much...

I've made two of the panels in the first link and put them in the corner as bass traps. They don't do a ton for the low bass frequencies but they did smooth out some of my response above 100hz.
Also, you don't want to go too overboard on absorbtion or you just end up with a dead sounding room. So consider putting a reflective surface on your corner bass traps, only don't make it a flat surface. See the links below to see the poly-cylindrical diffusors. These are pretty interesting articles.

Trey, send an email to bryan.p@gikacoustics.com with your room dimensions; Bryan has been very helpful in suggesting treatments for my soon-to-be-built audio room. You can take the advise and either buy from them or DIY. Feedback for their products from some members here is great, and prices are good._________________________________________________

SOPAThank God for different opinions. Imagine the world if we all wanted the same woman -
I spent about a month researching room treatments, but everywhere I seemed to read it was cheapest to build them, but not much cheaper then GIK. GIK seemed to be the best bang for your buck, Real Traps worked and looked best, and everything else was somewhere in between.
I would recommend talking to Bryan as well, I sent him pics of my room and a 2d overhead view of it to work with. He called me up and we talked for about an hour and then sent roughly 12-15 emails back and forth over the next few days. Great customer service, very easy to deal with, just send him an email and talk to him about your budget and what you want to accomplish and he can work something out for ya.

Just found this link in my files. They have some inexpensive panels. You can also order the parts to build panels yourself (including Owen Corning 703 and 705 rigid fiberglass, which are widely used for this application).
