Im trying to upgrade my front speakers, and saw these nice bookshelf speakers at a great price. Right now i have the rm6750 speaker system. Would these speakers be an nice upgrade for my fronts over the small satelites i have there now. I want a bookshelf speaker at a cheap price. Would these be a good improvement

Tweeter was selling T20ebs for $80 at one time, but not sure if they are still under $100 anywhere. They are the same as Monitor 30s and would be a bit bigger of an upgrade from the satellites. Might look into some of those; I have them as rears for HT and mains for my bedroom 2.1 channel.

Dave Shepard has a pair of RTi38's for sale in the Flea Market for $110 + shipping. I have one pair of these in my 2 channel living room system. I recently bought 2 more pair off of ebay to use in my HT setup. One pair should be here anyday. The other pair was just shipped today.

My front speakers are RTi70's which are floorstanding tower speakers. My center channel is RTi40. My surrounds were FXi30, but I'm gonna try the RTi38's' instead because they are just a tad more sensitive, and play a little lower in the bass than the FXi30. The other pair of RTi38's I'll use are rear surrounds to complete a 7 way system. I don't have a subwoofer yet, so I wanted surrounds that will go a little lower in the bass.

Anyway, the RTi38 is a good little speaker for the price. Some people say the RTi line are too bright. They were designed mainly for Home Theater use.

The current RTi line are RTi4, RTi6, etc. The models just prior to those were:

    RTi28 small bookshelf
    RTi38 medium sized bookshelf
    RTi70 Floorstanding tower
RTi150 Floorstanding tower (I think this one may have had a built in subwoofer?)
FXi30 Triangle shaped surround speaker can be set to di-pole or bi-pole.
FXi50 Same as FXi30, just a little bigger.
    CSi30 Center Channel Speaker
    CSi40 Large Center Channel Speaker

There may have been a few others that I left out. That line was available in a black oak finish or a medium cherry finish. The grilles were black cloth.

The current RTi line come in either black finish, or a lighter cherry finish. The grilles are a silver / metallic. Personally, I like the looks of the older line better, but that is just my opinion. The newer lines looks to "modern" for me. The feet on them look like something from a space pod.

Soon, there will be a new version of the RTi line. They were shown at the CES show this past January. Once they come out, you should be able to get some deals on the ones left in stock of the existing line.

I agree...right now they are $130 pair at tweeter...the difference between the M30s and T20EBs is that the Ts are real wood... I have them as surrounds and they sound great! T20EB vs RTi4?
Audio system lost to water damage... :(

Those speakers that are like the montior 30's, how do those compare to the the rti4s. Ive heard the monitor 30s at circuit city and i thought they sounded really good, but they doint have the rti line so i havent heard them. I would probably liek to change my center channel too at some point. From what I have seen on the polk website it looks like the cs1 and cs2 go with the monitor series and the csi3 goes with the rti line. Is this right??
