I would like a list of speaker lines that are in the 3-6 thousand dollar range for the pair (main's L & R) so I can do some comparing against the Tyler Acoustics Linbrook Signature System's. Ive already looked at DynAudio, but that about rounds it out. I have no clue of any speakers in this price range due to the fact I could never afford them. I would like a few options before I go spending that kinda cash.
Thanks
Josh

Man, there are TONS of speakers in that range.
B&W, Magnepan, Danes, VS, Quad.........I would consider picking up the current Stereophile and checking out the recommended components listing, just as a reference for things out there.

Check out Thiel; this whole adventure of getting new speakers really started when I heard the Thiel CS2.4. You would not believe the sound those "little" speakers have._________________________________________________

There's no comparison necessary. You'll go crazy trying to size up all of the options. There's hundreds of them.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

You could spend the rest of your days doing the comparisons. Look around, pick a few to check out, and go with that.

BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

You can add to the soon to be massive list Gallo, Zu, Hyperion, Odyssey Audio, Usher, Totem, AV123, Martin Logan, VMPS Audio...I can keep going. It would be better to figure out what you want to get out of your new speakers, what the ones you have don't do good enough for you. Then start looking for speakers that match what you want to get, with the budget you have. I narrowed down a list of ~8 speaker pairs to 2 this way.

You might want to first give information regarding your personal sonic preferences....try and narrow down the characteristics that you would like to hear and see in a speaker and the good folks here could probably save you some time and give you a top 5 or 10 speakers to consider. From there you could take that list and audition as much as you can. Not likely to happen but the most you can audition at home the better.......maybe even start a new thread.
Good luck,
